Well, that was a surprise twist — to see/read/hear about this new non-existent Department of Government Efficiency. One that is to be led by, gulp, such (cough, cough) wonderful individuals:
— — Vivek Ramaswamy & Elon Musk
Was it not stated for many, MANY, MANY years that a certain party, and certain individuals over the years would come to Washington, DC and DRAIN the swamp.
What’s that you say, oh, they are coming in to do the Drain work…. Ahhh, I see. So, we still get another federal agency in the meantime. One that will attempt to do cleanup work such as get rid of the:
a) Dept of Education — good luck with that — leaving it to the states to do white washing of history with whatever they want in its place and instead teach lower standards of classroom work
b) EPA — clean water, clean air — reduce or remove the laws, regulations so that everyone in the country (and world) will have no choice but to breathe in air everyday with horrific air quality levels — drink water that ‘may’ have more germs and toxic chemicals, forcing people who have extra money to buy filters for all water faucets — — — just so corporations can relax whatever standards they have in place in order to shift that infrastructure improvement budget to other parts of the organization to ‘maximize’ the bottom line to make the shareholders happy (richer).
c) Homeland Security — well, this one is a change of direction as to what DHS does — focus will now be on exporting illegal immigrants, sorry, illegal criminal immigrants so that, as the maniac Stephen Miller stated (paraphrased)— this country can be his all-American country….
d) CDC, FDA, wait, stop — I can go on but you get the vision of what this country is on track for.
This country is on track for chaos. Removing federal safeguards will mean states can do what they want. Think about that, especially for folks who have gone through countless nightmare scenarios where states had the final say… Scenarios such as:
— — different standards of education, from one state to another (some better, some worse than others)
— — abortions — sound familiar — do ya wanna return to the 60s / 70s — wanna have women be relegated to second class status, more than what it is today…?
— — racism…. this is a whole ‘nuther level of discussion
— — religion — allowing religion and religious paraphernalia to dispersed throughout the: school systems, court system and political structure — when we are “supposed” to have separation of church and state in this country — at least Louisiana is doing a good fight of blocking the placement of the 10 Commandments in classrooms where students would be forced to see the material — kinda hard to ignore stuff in large print EVERYDAY that is placed in PROMINENT locations in all classrooms and hallways, whatever….
Expanding, criminy — Draining the swamp. If this were to happen, along the designs of what the GOP is talking about, you will start seeing poorer standards of health and safety across the board in all 50 states, including D.C., Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands. Such as removing fluoride from our water systems….
And, well, sorry — this is getting to me, just visualizing this as I write is a lot. I could tack on a LOT more here but I am only one voice, hoping that one other pair of eyes who voted for this new GOP administration will see read this piece and share it with other like minded and create a domino effect. Then, then they will reconsider who they voted for and realize what harm they have just engaged. Yes, inflation was high but it was coming down. No president can snap his/her fingers and make it happen — IT. TAKES. TIME. And when we start flip-flopping between administrations — ANY and ALL progress is wiped out such as what will happen starting January 2025. The downward trend for inflation and national budget deficit — those two areas will BOTH start going back up again as Trump wipes out all positives…
Putting individuals such as Kristi Noem and John Ratcliffe into their ‘new’ positions, not looking good. You can easily research their past political careers and see for yourself their character and stance on multiple areas…
But, we’ll see, we’ll see where this is headed over the next 6–12 months… Remember Project 2025, keep that in mind. And for the many of you out there who voted for Trump, well — let’s see how you feel about so enthusiastically voting him by this time next year, end of 2025…
