Drones, you are going to have to start using drones with heat/infrared capabilities to locate any, ahhh, extremist individuals with psychological (or dangerous) issues, around the perimeters of any American High Value Targets (or Allies).
Put them in the air to check out the perimeter for any/all HVTs that need protection. Because there are likely (with high confidence from my side) going to be more of the, nut jobs. One of these individuals are going to come up with the bright idea of ruining his/her life by digging a sniper pit with a removable cover, with that individual wearing a ghillie suit.
That would be all that individual needs to do. Dig and get in and wait for that HVT to appear and take the shot. You, USSS, already know that there are disgruntled, warped people out there with excellent weapons skills and superior vision (helluva lot better than my old eyes with floaters).
Think about it. And that is only one creative way these daft in the head individuals are going to attempt to do…
That or have drones with extraordinarily-sensitive olfactory capabilities — dogs might take too long. An even brighter deadly domestic threat may figure out how to use protective gear to cover/block body heat from infrared detection. “Might” be difficult to block body odors, i.e.: urine — for the off-chance the person is clumsy and does not seal up any urine bottle or create a leak in a urine bag….
Just sending what I ‘hope’ is possibly good information… because there are too many very dangerous extremist individuals out there with access to too much information on homicide/assassination attempts.
